Childrens Portraits | Rochester, NY Portrait Photographer

I love these little guys!! Last summer I did a studio session with these brothers, and this year they were back for an outdoor session in Highland Park. It was a beautiful weather weekend! Boys at age 2 & 5 are not up for sitting still, so we let them just move around & be themselves... with a little bit of coaching every so often, we got the shots we needed!

5/19/09: Newborn & Family Portraits | Rochester, NY Modern Newborn Photographer

You may remember a maternity session I had a few weeks ago for Jaime... well today I got to meet their beautiful baby girl! We did a combination session of the baby, her older brothers, the 3 kids together, and family portraits. Sweet baby J was really not into photos in any way, but we still got some beautiful captures!

I've only looked at a few so far but here are some of my favorites!!

C & L: Anytime Portraits

Yesterday Ben & I spent the afternoon with fellow photographer friend Chelse & her little ones. It's hard to be mommy and photographer sometimes, so we trade photo sessions back & forth for each other. We spent some time in their backyard getting candids, then set up a backdrop in the garage and used natual light for a studio feel.

Little Miss C was a cooperative little model:
(I notice I have a penchant for composing my subjects to the far right side of the frame lately, haha. But I LOVE the dramatic effect of the blank space!)








Little brother L was so funny trying to blow the petals off the dandelion (like you can do with the white fluffy ones), haha.


When I was looking through the images from the day I was struck by how many different expressions Miss C had, so I created this collage last night to showcase them:


And of course Ben didn't get away without at least one shot of him!

Olympia's Junior Prom

Tonight was Greece Olympia's Junior Prom and I got to have some fun taking the formal photos for 12 of the kids attending!

I've only sorted thru a few of the 100+ images so far, but here are some fun ones!
