{ Baby Portraits } Rochester, NY modern portrait photographer

One of my favorite little guys was in this week for some portraits! I saw him at about 2-1/2 months, then again at 4 months, and now almost 8 months. Mom brings him in for seasonal portraits rather than sticking to the traditional milestone ages!

Isn't he the cutest little golfer you've ever seen??

Shaking it up a bit with the green background, which I LOVE and rarely get to use. I wanted to show how little he is still, I think this shot captures that feeling!

And of course you can never go wrong with a baby in a basket, lol.

The weather is getting nicer and hibernation should be over soon - schedule your spring portraits early for best availability. Just TWO saturday's in April still have open slots!!

{ Family Portraits } Rochester, NY modern family portrait photographer

I love meeting new families! Today was a BIG family... 5 kids ranging from 13 yrs down to 8 months. It was just a 30-minute session to accomodate the younger ones attention span, but you'd be surprised what you can accomplish in that time! (ok maybe I ran a little over that, I usually do, lol)

The whole group together, looking at me, yay!!!

And some individual shots of each kid from oldest to youngest:

Cutie patootie!! And another fabulous pair of dresses from Children's Place - they're on fire this season!

Great to meet you guys, thanks for coming in today!!

{ Engagement Portraits } rochester, ny modern portrait photographer

For some reason I've had a lot of out of state brides over the past few years- Boston, Seattle, Maryland, even ALASKA. Often times we don't have a chance to meet before I'm officially signed on as their wedding photographer, so I'm always excited when they sneak into town for a few days to finish up their planning and we finally put faces to names. (Ok with Facebook usually we know what eachother look like, but you know what I mean :-)

Theresa & Mike are from Virginia and they're getting married in Rochester this June. They have a wonderfully simple day planned and I can't wait to hang back & capture all of the great candid moments.

We were hoping for better weather today to do some of their E-session outside, but it was rainy & cold so we just rolled with the studio stuff. They came well prepared with a suitcase of outfits! (LOVE that, it gives me so much to work with).

I think we really captured their personality as a couple today, check out a few of my favorites:

It was so awesome to meet you guys today! I'll see you in just a few short months!

{ Sibling Portraits } rochester, ny modern child portrait photographer

I love this time of year when spring is finally in the air, even if there's a little snow still on the ground. Good weather is on the horizon, and adorable spring clothes are in all of the stores.

A fabulous outfit adds so much to your portaits, so it's always fun when a client asks for some input before their session. These little ladies looked just perfect and were sooooo cute together!

Sometimes the outtake moments are some of my favorites:

A couple of individual portaits:

Even though 2 is a hard age for sitting still, we got several really adorable images of the girls together. Love this one!

It was so great to meet you girls today - have a wonderful weekend!

{ Hunter's Hope } Rochester, NY modern portrait photographer

Since I started my business, I've always looked for opportunties to use it in a charitable way at least a few times a year.

This year I'm proud to be working with Hunter's Hope, the organization in memory of Jim & Jill Kelly's son. They are hosting a Candlelight Ball in Rochester on Friday, March 26, 2010 at the Radisson Hotel Rochester Riverside. I will be participating in the Chinese auction with a $225 session/print package donation.

If you are affiliated with an organization looking for support, let me know and I'd be happy to check it out!
